Wellness Care Stingless Honey/ POlypeptide

Wellness Care Stingless Bee Honey (SBH) differs from that of the genus Apis in terms of color, taste, and viscosity. With high Polypeptde and high total phenolic content (TPC) SBH of this species is shown to have higher free acidity (107.50-346.25 and lower pH 3.00-3.3.27 meq/kg of honey) values as compared to Apis honey and it has better moisture levels than Apis mellifera honey, total soluble solids than existing standards. Stingless bees produce honey and other bee by-products, such as pollen, beeswax, cerumen, and royal jelly. These bees store their honey in cerumen, a mixture similar to propolis but with the addition of the mandibular secretions produced during construction by the stingless bee’s mandibles. Traditionally it has been thought that stingless bee honey was good for diabetes and now we know why – having a lower GI means it takes longer for the sugar to be absorbed into the bloodstream, so there is not a spike in glucose that you get from other sugars. Tropical Meliponini bees produce stingless bee honey (SBH).

Stingless bee honey is characterized by the presence of benzoic acid, phenylpropanoic acid, 4-hydroxybenzoic acid, 4-hydroxyphenylacetic acid, vanillic acid, protocatechuic acid, and p-coumaric acid. Despite the majoritarian composition of sugars (fructose and glucose) and water, also contains small amounts of other compounds such as organic acids, phenolic compounds (phenolic acids and flavonoids), proteins, amino acids, enzymes, vitamins, and minerals.
